Unclogged drain line and rewired system so thatxan error will show instead of shutting thermostat down. Air filter will need to be brought at a later time. Visual inspection of indoor coil. Upon arrival, system is low on refrigerant with operating subcool of 1F, with manufacturers specs being 10F +/-3F Charge system to factory specs with new r410a refrigerant. Inject leak stop + dye in an attempt to stop the leak and/or make a leak more visible in case the leak cannot be stopped. System needed approximately 1.25 lbs and system is now operating with a 13F subcool. No other issues found or suspected during test run.

Chris looked at possibly to vent hood range and suggested she upgrade to a newer one due the HOA giving her issues with wanting to vent the current one and saying she would be responsible for any damage to roof such as grease and he cant guarantee that wont happen he did say if she decides not to go that route to contact us again
Upon arrival, inspected system and found furnace was not starting. Upon further inspection, discovered inducer motor was seized not starting at all. Could barely be moved by hand will not spin freely at all. Pulling one amp while attempting to start. Warranty motor available, quote for warranty replacement approved. Picked motor up installed warranty motor and test ran system. After replacement more was installed unit was not showing any errors.
Upon arrival discussed concerns with homeowner and quickly interpreted the attic pipe may have problems due to bedroom is closest to furnace and airflow is significantly affected, after inspecting attic found pipe was disconnected in attic where it used to be attached had ripped off from the weight of the pipe. Restored connection and screwed strap onto pipe, then adjusted support so there’s not so much weight on the connection to cause separation.

Upon arrival inspected geo and found power supply for the lower cabinet was coming from the heat strip compartment. Compressor capacitor was tested low at 37mfd on the 80 capacitor. Wiring suspected to have overheated and melted due to improper connections for compressor cabinet and compressor overamping to start. Informed homeowner he should have an electrician come out and wire up 240v to the compressor cabinet. Unit was not able to be repaired due to risk of problem reoccurring if wired back up the way it originally was.
Preventative maintenence inspection on four geothermal units. Replace all air filters. Visually inspect air coils through filter access. Inspect blower and compressor compartments for any noticeable issues. None found. Test run all units in geothermal and electric strip heating modes. Refrigerant pressures were not checked as there are no issues suspected at this time. All other measurable readings are within spec for manufacturers operation guidelines. All systems are operating properly, efficiently and ready to go.
Upon arrival discussed issues with homeowner and found homeowner is struggling with understanding his thermostat. While in CIRC mode, the thermostat will run the furnace fan intermediately instead of constantly, allowing the unit to turn off for periods to save electricity and give the unit a break. In fan ON position, the fan will run nonstop until turned into the auto (fan runs only with heating or cooling) or back to circ for intermediate use. Helped homeowner with filter questions and told him about our maintenance plans incase he would like to switch to us instead of his usual fire and ice.
