Galena was formally known as Zoar (appearantly after an ancient city of refuge referanced in the biblical book of Genesis) but when applying for a post office, was turned down due to the name already being taken by another village in Ohio. It has been described as “a quite little village” and is home to 172 families.
Though small, Galena is important to Westin Air. Westin Air’s central location is down the street from Galena which makes you our neighbor.
