Upon arrival inspected system and unit was heating properly upon arrival. Customer had noticed unit was not heating very well and called us out, inspected system and unit is working properly just in low settings. Informed homeowner humidifier was shut off, and dampers were closed off to some portions of the house. Return temp 64° supply temp 88° no heat strips active at this time. Unit is properly functioning.

Upon arrival discussed with homeowner about air delivery not reaching master suite and not reaching closet space on north side of basement. Heat runs are 4” pipe. Homeowner interested in quote for mini split 2 head.

Upon arrival, inspected unit and found breaker was tripped for outdoor unit. Had to perform system test to get system back operational. After performing system test inspected system to verify no further problems. Unit running properly and heating properly with 28° delta T and 11amps on compressor circuit. Breaker is 50amp recommended breaker be inspected because unit is not showing any signs of failure.

Customer did not answer ETA. Upon arrival, 1-800 plumbing + air was in his driveway.

Remove existing 1” filter rack and install 1210 expandable filter rack. Takes Aprilaire 210 popup filters. Remove old Aprilaire humidifier and install totaline 600 bypass humidifier, test run system humidifier is flowing water and unit draining properly.

Preventative maintenence inspection on Trane high efficiency gas furnace running in good condition. 16x25x1 air filter in decent condition. Check again in 1-2 months. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor ohms. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Run test unit in heating mode from thermostat. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. System is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.

Found intake full of ice and snow Was able to clear it Extended exhaust off the ground with a goose neck setup Furnace is running now. Was not able to gain entry to very everything else is good inside.

Remove and replace inducer motor. Test run furnace and verify proper operation.

Inspected furnace and found unit was not making any horribly loud noises but a deep humming was present. Equipment seemed fine overall aside from approx 2 month old filter adding pressure to system causing it to hum louder than usual. Recommend more frequent filter changes when using humidifier and having additional pets to reduce excessive pressure.

Remove and replace OEM control board. In stock at Habegger, replaced control board and test ran furnace. Unit now flashing status as designed, no longer showing strange power cut out errors.

Upon arrival inspected system and found control board was not properly displaying status. Inspected further and light started flickering while checking board. Connections broken and causing intermittent issues. Control board needs replaced. With age of furnace recomending replacement over repair due to risk of further part failure - Melvin is ready to replace control board but would like a quote for the furnace just to know a price because unit is intermittently operational. I have recommended that he hold off on repair until he has decided on replacement.

Performed thorough test on all geothermal parameters. No issues were found while on site.

Diagnosed failed gas valve Valve electronics shorted When the furnace reached opening the gas valve in the sequence of operation, the short circuit would cause the 24V power to drop out and reset the control board. This was putting the furnace in an infinite loop of startup, attempt to fire, and shut down. Found water damage inside the furnace due to condensation coming from the intake pipe (occurrs during hot summer months) Got authorization to install a drain coupling on the intake pipe to mitigate this issue. Replaced gas control valve and installed intake drain Set gas pressure to 3.5"wc Cleaned flame sensor 16x25x1 filter is in good shape Furnace operating within factory specifications at this time. Although the humidifier does not function Signed up for silver maintenance

Upon arrival inspected system and found blown 3a fuse. Replace fuse with popper and test run system. Unit didn’t trip replaced with fuse and test system problem came back. Ohm wiring out and found humidifier short under gas line where it goes out of furnace cab. Tape short and test run unit. No more fuse issues, showed tenant how to change humidifier panel.

Upon arrival, system was locked out on code 7 for excessive limit circuit trips. Hooked up manometer for gas pressure and thermometers for entering and leaving temperature. Initial fireoff in low stage showed manifold gas pressure at 1.8inwc with 90F temperature rise, while specifications list 1.3-1.7inwc manifold pressureand 30-60F temperaturerise. Increased to high stage and high stage pressure is at 3.8inwc with 80F temperature rise, while specifications list 3.2-3.8inwc a d 40-70F temperature rise. Adjusted manifold gas pressures to bottom end of specifications, 1.3inwc for low stage, and 3.2inwc for high stage. During operation test for both stages it is noted that while the temperature rise is within range for both stages, 55F for low stage and 65F for high stage, the new Merv 14 air filter causes a high amount of restriction on airflow, also contributing to higher temperature rise. Merv 11 is the highest recommended Merv rating. Due to the inability to adjust airflow on this fur
